Benjamin Zidel

Benjamin's love of storytelling begin at a young age after years of imagining bedtime stories told by his dad. His parents brought him to the theater in his car seat and let him enjoy the movie from the aisle. Once he saw "Jaws", it was a done deal. He was destined to be a filmmaker.

As a young boy, he made "Ghostbusters 3" with action figures and eventually upgraded to casting friends in his neighborhood to star in his kung fu flick, "Kicks of Steel." After receiving critical acclaim from his teachers for school projects he managed to turn into videos (and good grades), he decided to attend film school.

There he met Raymond Lisi, whom he collaborated with on many side projects, notably Ben Zidel's directorial debut, "The Road Home" and his second film, official Lewiston-Auburn Film Festival selection, "Madeline." They developed an obvious creative chemistry and felt most confident working together. This was Grown Up Boy Films' first baby steps.

Now based in Boston, MA, Grown Up Boy Films has begun their quest to become a coveted and innovative collaborator working alongside all clients and artists to create lasting and moving media for all of New England.
